Death of the Websafe Color Palette? (Webmonkey) |
Definitely worth reading. A Webmonkey article that
will answer these burning questions:
- Given all the new versions of browsers and operating systems that
have emerged since the original websafe palette was created, is the
websafe palette still Web-safe?
- With the dominant number of users now running High Colour and True
Colour displays -- as opposed to the 256 colour displays of three or
four years ago -- can we use whatever colours we want?
- And if it turns out that our choice of colours is still limited, is
there a new websafe palette for High and True Colour machines?
